What’s up everyone I am Rob DeCillis A.K.A. Combat Trainer.  I am a certified strength and conditioning coach and here to help those who compete in combat sports.  (Boxing, MMA, Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Etc)  I got my start in 2006 when I had the pleasure of training a heavyweight MMA fighter in the IFL.  I also was able to work with the fighters that
trained at the MMA gym I belonged to.

Some time after that I wanted to expand my horizons and work with all different types of athletes.  I was fortunate to work with many high school athletes of all different kinds of sports.  I worked with track stars, football players, baseball players and going back to my roots, wrestlers.  Seeing the progress of these athletes was great.

During my learning process and work with combat athletes I noticed something. Many of those that train in the combat sports do not really know how to train in the weight room.  I have heard of stories of fighters still training like bodybuilders.  This drives me crazy.  Or they do a “workout” that they saw one of their favorite fighters do.  Seeing this I wanted to lead the way for fighters and show them how to train the right way.  That’s when Combat Trainer was created.

Using that experience from training different athletes and researching other great strength and conditioning material, I am out on a mission to help all combat athletes achieve their strength and conditioning goals.  Here at Combat Trainer we will lead the way for you as the combat athlete.
